May be I am a bit late (perhaps by a year), but I should not forget to say that, Android has been the best Operating System that I have used on any smart phone.
Never the less, I was really excited when I unpacked my new Android loaded phone.
The main purpose of purchasing a cheap Android phone is solely for Research And Development (RnD).
I was happy enough with my Nokia goodies such as E63, N72, N73 and a few more high end handsets. But I seriously missed Android during it’s launch. None of the parents would think of giving a new phone to a kid if he already has a collection of more than 10 high end hand-sets. But somehow, recently, I managed and finally have enough of experience to write a sort of endorsement for the worthy Android Operating System for Mobile Phones.
The first time I tried Android, was on my laptop through a virtual installation of an ISO image provided by Google under “download” section of Android, on Oracle Virtual Box.
The first time experience brought me into a vast pond of anxiety and happiness. Unlike, Microsoft’s hostile methods to limit it’s products for a premium fee, Google does everything for free
.
No other brand than GOOGLE can provide the same range of features for nearly zero cost.
The processing speed of Android was amazing and when I tried the same on a touch screen phone (Samsung Galaxy), it was really fun and extremely comfortable to work with it’s touch pads (Seems that Google had done a great homework for calibration and related aspects.)
I really feel lucky enough to use Android on my phone.
There are numbers of websites that offer you free download of various applications for Android loaded Mobile Phones.
Some of the legitimate and trusted once are listed as follows:-
I really wonder, why would a person love to waste money on internet tariff(Don’t forget that 3G tariff is very high in India), it is always better to download the applications on your desktop / laptop and then transfer the files to the memory card.
One more thing you shall not forget to o is, to allow “Unknown Sources” for installation of non-Market application. This can be easily done by navigating to Settings->Applications-> Select “Unknown Sources”.
If you do not follow the above steps, you won’t be able to run the .apk files for installation {This is a mechanism through which Android phones can let you install apps through ways other than the market place}.
I must not forget to mention that, Android has numerous built-in applications, through which you can synchronize all of your contacts directly to your google account. This is really helpful in various cases.
Have a Great Android Experience Ahead.
