Go Green This Diwali

To all my visitors, readers, friends, relatives and well-wishers,

I wish you all a very happy and prosperous Diwali. May Goddess Mahalaxmi bring fortune, prosperity, name and fame in your life. Jai Mahalaxmi! :-) .

Mahalaxmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth and fortune. With her blessings, you can become the next Bill Gates or Warren Buffet. Who does not want to be a millionaire or billionaire??

I wrote a lot about Money Matters in my previous posts and I think that I need to show you some real content specially designed for the auspicious occasion of Diwali.

Diwali is the festival of light, full of joy and positive energy. It originally started when Lord Ram came back to Ahyodhya after the 14 years of van-vaas (i.e. life in forest).

You must be thinking that why am I becoming spiritual on a technology blog?

The joy of Diwali delighted my heart. I am really enthusiastic to celebrate the festive occasion with my friends, parents and relatives. It is really a nice feeling to celebrate a grand occasion as this. It is one of the grandest festivals in India.

Since many centuries, Diwali is celebrated. Earlier, they only lit diyas (oil lamp usually made from clay, with a cotton wick dipped in ghee or vegetable oils), but as technology developed and explosives were invented, people started using crackers which are not eco-friendly. Already, on earth, the inhuman attitude of humans has lead to removal of greenery from a majority part of the world, and by spending like a zillionare on crackers, we are simply wasting energy, money and time.

Last year, from a friend of mine, Athul Jayaram, I got to know that in Kerala, there is a competition of people to spend maximum amount on phatakas ( firecrackers), and you know what the sum goes in the range of lacs.. Perhaps, if this much of amount was invested by the people in welfare of the country, India would have become a developed one.

Mother Earth, has provided the humans with everything required to live a life.  By firing crackers, we are insulting her generous nature. I advice you not to fire crackers as it leads to a lot of noise pollution and air pollution.. Moreover,  crackers produce sound and pollution which can exhaust patients who are suffering from diseases like “Asthama” and gas-borne and lung diseases. It becomes difficult for them to breathe.

For celebration of a few, we are damaging the life of many. We have borrowed the current celebration from our coming generations, and I bet if things go on at the same rate, we won’t have anything left for the next generation of our families. None of us have the right to harm others, and in name of Diwali, just for joys, we have become demons who will definitely destroy the beauty of earth.

I am sorry, if I had  gone too “hard”, but it is necessary to make the people aware of the hazards of usage of firecrackers. It is high time for people to understand the situation. Times have changed and now we have very harmful firecrackers which can take life of many. Nothing is precious than life.

Diwali is considered to be auspicious for investment in gold, silver and real estate. It is also a great opportunity to buy electronic items (as the shopping-malls have huge offers, discounts, etc) and vehicles. It is all a season of rapture environment, go with your friends, parents and relatives to buy something worth!! . Enjoy this Diwali with joy and cheer. Be happy! . Remember, life has a wave and particle like mechanism.
