Google Adsense, which was released in the year 2003, is an advertisement serving platform by Google Inc. Web masters and website owners can register in this program to display text, image and video addvertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered, sorted, maintained and collaborated by Google in association with it’s prime advertising partners.
Revenue on Adsense is generated on PAY PER CLICK or PER IMPRESSION basis.
In the first quarter of 2011, Google earned $2.34 Billion ($9.36 billion annualized), or 28% of it’s total revenue through Adsense.
Google uses it’s mighty search engine technology to serve advertisements conceptualizing on website content, user’s geographical location and niche.
If you wish to make yourself viral on the web, then you can definitely go for Adwords and pay them a few hundred or even millions of dollars, to get real visitors.
Also remember that, AdSense has the best technologies to detect fraudulent clicks. Don’t ever try to click your own advertisements or else you will be banned. And for Adwords users, it’s a sign of relief as they don’t have to pay for invalid clicks
Frankly speaking, AdSense is a wonderful platform for generating legitimate money over the Internet. It’s far better than chitika, adbrite or others due to several factors. Chitika offers payment from clicks from only a few countries which does not include the Indian sub continent. Adbrite’s pay scale is very low. If you are using Adbrite, then you are definitely wasting the precious real estate of your web portal.
AdSense is available for :-
- Adsense for Feeds
- Adsense for Search
- Adsense for Domain
- Adsense for Mobile Content
- Adsense for Video
REQUESTING ANOTHER PIN FOR GOOGLE ADSENSE
If you had recently registered with GOOGLE ADSENSE and have reached the payment threshold of 10$, then you must be waiting for the arrival of your PIN (Personal Identification Number) code from GOOGLE. The PIN contains a phrase code which is used to verify you as well as your location.
The duration that this PIN will take in reaching your location depends where you live and perhaps the number of holidays that may delay it. In case you lost your PIN or did not receive it and want to get the same at a new address, then first of all update your current address. And then request a new PIN.
I must also accept that, in the new interface for AdSense there is no option to get a NEW PIN whereas if you shift to the older interface, it has that very option, which activates in 3 weeks from the day your last PIN was issued.
While requesting a new PIN, be aware that you can only request 3 PIN at the maximum and if you are still not able to receive it, contact GOOGLE, they may arrange some other sort of verification for you. In case you are unable to proceed with any of it’s authentication methods, your adsense account will be suspended and all of your “adsense revenue” will be pointing to zero.
