The author – Kunal Marathe – has raised various issues like suicide, depression, drugs, unethical relationships, road accidents and yes, reservation in his tale. The book not only has some of the most serious and grave issues of ‘world of youngsters’ but it is also loaded with mysterious, interesting, out of the ordinary, and full of enjoyment factors.

The story revolves around a case of self killing by a seventeen years old college student, in Navi Mumbai. It is paced by an investigation that leads Inspector Anand Pandit into a different of youngsters, something he never imagined. He is shocked to see the terrific social changes that have taken place in the young Indians. The latest update on the book is that the famous Indian Cartoonist Mr. Ismail Lahari, is making the cartoon for the cover page of the book. So we can not only expect a great book, but the cover page will be equally catchy. The hospitality Professional-turned-author, informed that the cover will be based on a painting, which he made with the help of the great painter Mr. Monto Narahari. “My imagination and Mr. Monto Narahri’s brush took us two week to finish the work,” Kunal Marathe said. The book is yet not in the market, but some well known personalities have already commented on it. “It is difficult for me to believe that at such young an age of 21, Kunal Marathe is so considerate towards the sensitivities of the youngsters. I have no doubt his pen will create a tumult in the near future,” said Mr. Susheel Kumar Batra, the author of best seller, Aspirations. Moreover, Mr. Kaushal Goyal, GM and CEO of GBD Books and author of the best seller, Barack Obama, Dreams Come True, said, “Suicide @ Seventeen is a must for every youngster and parent.” The book will be out in the market in second week of December, this year. It will be priced something between 100-150 bucks. There is news that the author and publisher have decided to give a free copy of a booklet based on ‘suicide awareness’, with the Novel.
