The Current Problem: Poverty in India
Poverty is widespread in India, with the nation estimated to have a third of the world’s poor. According to a 2005 World Bank estimate, 41.6% of the total Indian population falls below the international poverty line of US$ 1.25 a day (PPP, in nominal terms INR 21.6 a day in urban areas and INR 14.3 in rural areas).
The population of India is nearly 1164 Millions out of which 55.4% of people are BELOW POVERTY LINE.
This means that in all, there are over 645 Millions of people who are still unable to afford two square meals in spite of the great technological reforms in the Indian sub-continent.This is a major issue and has to be deal with effectively.
The government of India has launched various schemes, but still don’t forget that most of the ministers are CORRUPT. They are traveling in Benz and BMW at the cost of taxes paid by innocent citizens like me and You!
Rajiv Gandhi said that, if the Government puts forward 1 Rupee to a common man, then only 0.1 Rupee reaches the common man. His statement clearly embarks the influence of CORRUPTION since 1984. It is cent per cent true.
The scams that have undergone recently, project as high as 2.8 lakh crore (per scam)..
And there are at least 100 scams that have not yet come in light.
2,80,000 CRORES * 100 = 2,80,00,000 CRORES = 2.8 CRORE*CRORE :O..
And the population of India is nearly 110 Crores.
2,80,00,000*1,00,00,000 INR =6.08 Trillion $ = 28000000000000 INR. (Count the number of Zeros).
As per Swiss Bank’s Report, India tops their depository lead with $1,456 billion.
Recently, I also got an image which had mind-blowing speculations. I can’t really guarantee it’s authenticity, but still it worth a preview here.
I am not sure about the figures presented here or even about the image. I got it from some image hosting site and thought that it could represent a bit of the actual picture. I do not warranty it’s authenticity.
Social work is a pressing problem here.
But before saying that this image could be invalid, realize this statement by Assanage, the founder of WikiLeaks “Black money in Swiss banks mainly from India”.
Some websites claim that the above image is a work of Photoshop experts, but there could be another point. Mis-spelling of names could be due to the fact that, these wealthy black money holders may want to hide their name in this way. For instance, if there is any enquiry with a particular name such as Neera Radia, the database may not be able to show them “Neara Radiya” or something similar. I can’t actually say much but the figures of SCAMS in India are as high as anything.
List of Scams that took place in last 2 years in India:-
2011
- Hasan Ali Khan scandal
- Indian Black Money in Swiss Banks
- Bellary mines scandal
2010
- 2G spectrum scam and Radia Tapes Controversy
- Adarsh Housing Society scam
- Commonwealth Games Scam
- 2010 housing loan scam in India
- Belekeri port scam
- Lavasa Scandal
- Uttar Pradesh Food Grain Scam
- Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Controversy
- Indian Premier League Cricket Scandals
- Uttar Pradesh food grain scam
Theoretically, the value of all scams that have happened in India are more than enough to distribute at least 1 CRORE of rupees to Every Indian along with no taxation for coming 20 years as well as free railways and lots more things such as FREE FOOD.
Another alternative method to end poverty in India is to come up with technical institutions that employ non-conventional methods of studies and research for the common man.
There are millions in India who are still illiterate but still they have a great brain. Recently, in one of the news papers, I had read about a person who is not educated at all, but he has been developing extremely useful gadgets for farmers and his nearby people. In reality, Indians have practical experience and if it’s en-cashed properly, then there wont be any poverty in the country.
There should be “SPECIAL” institutions that check the creativity of people and not their mark-sheets. Because you never know who can be the special one, a dropper (who became Bill Gates :O)..
There are still millions waiting for a chance in life.
Share this post with your friends, if you are interested in ending poverty.
Moreover, we pray to god for health of Shri Anna Hazare, who has been fighting against CORRUPTION like a concrete wall in India. Be a TRUE Indian = Be Against Corruption!
