Every now and then, the media focuses on latest gadgets, gizmos, softwares, etc.. Be it a BLACKBERRY phone or something luxurious like Apple’s products. Most of the people do not care if they are going to use the features of a gadget or not, subsequently, they end up saying that the product was a waste of money or of no-use. Such an experience is also degraded because of lack of technical knowledge among the general people and misguidance by representatives of shops , malls and computer showrooms.
What some of the people in showroom ask you to go for a custom configuration and then they keep on bugging up with the tag-line ‘What will you do with such a good configuration. You do not need it ‘.. And then in the name sake of decreasing price as low-grade configuration is offered, they charge a much higher rate than the actual amount in such a case.
In other showrooms, the executive is going to please you with tonnes of features and configurations provided to you with a particular device such as a laptop , desktop, palmtop, etc and he just sees his idea of money making and not what the user is to encounter.
There are lots of advertisements regarding Quad Core, Dual Core & I-series processor which have a superior capability of data processing. It’s really vast!!!! But for a general user who is just concerned with checking a few mails on internet and a few small apps for his company, is not to deal with such configurations. They are not gamers neither software developers, they wont ever need a very high configuration because their usage is limited.
Always remember that a computer can always be upgraded and you have the right to choose a suitable hardware for yourself.
Recently, a friend of mine bought a HP-Laptop and he is not a technical person. He is a professional teacher at a famous IIT-JEE coaching institute in Indore, and his reviews were that the showroom from which he bought the system, said that they do not have the drivers for his Laptop and wont be able to fix the computer or resolve the issue. In such a case, the person becomes helpless,if he is not a technical one and does not know how to get the drivers. And moreover , consumer awareness is still very less in India, which really needs to be emphasized upon.
A common lay man is never concerned with features of computer..
It is just like, when you bought an awesome car say Honda CR-V, and were very happy to install a LCD-TV in it along with some good music player, woofers, etc.. but now a days, you hardly get sufficient time to use the LCD in your car.
Such incidents are very common to people and people do not have a choice, they just want to have the latest gadgets without proper information.
Many of the people, shop on internet and are caught to be victim of misguidance and mislead information on a site. Before purchasing from any web site or any show room, do inquire about it’s reputation in the market.
A firm with good reputation is always in favor of consumer and hence you must always purchase things from a reputed store.

Always Remember – Is this nice to have ?? Or Is this worth purchasing ?? . These are the 2 ways to think, you will need to concentrate on both.
These days, i observed that people want latest gadgets and all such devices but they hardly use it.. My relative who is in New Delhi and works as a CA bought a BLACKBERRY mobile but he hardly uses it.. Or let’s take example of a common lay man…
